Professional event photography gives your business or organisation a collection of images that can continue working long after the event itself is over.

I’m a Perth event photographer with more than 16 years of professional photography experience, covering corporate events, conferences, launches, awards, graduations, private functions and PR events throughout Perth and Western Australia.

Whether you need photographs for social media, your website, internal communications, sponsors or immediate distribution to the media, I can tailor the coverage and delivery to suit your event.

Corporate Event Photography Perth

Corporate events come in all shapes and sizes, from intimate dinners and networking events to major conferences, awards nights and large-scale corporate functions.

I work with businesses, government organisations, universities, PR agencies and event organisers to create professional coverage that documents both the important moments and the atmosphere surrounding them.

Event photography can include:

  • Corporate functions
  • Conferences and seminars
  • Awards nights
  • Product and brand launches
  • Networking events
  • PR and media events
  • Graduations
  • University and education events
  • Gala dinners
  • Industry events
  • Guest speakers and presentations
  • Staff and client events
  • Arts and cultural events

Every event has different priorities, so coverage can be tailored around your schedule, speakers, guests, sponsors and the ways you intend to use the photographs afterwards.

Experienced Event Photographer

Over more than 16 years behind the camera, I’ve photographed events ranging from intimate VIP dinners to large public and corporate occasions.

My experience includes photographing five Australian Prime Ministers and HRH Queen Elizabeth II, as well as politicians, business leaders, musicians, artists, speakers and people from almost every walk of life.

I’ve worked with government, major corporations, universities, arts organisations, publications and PR agencies, including the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

My background also includes ten years working as a freelance press photographer for News Corp, primarily photographing for newspapers and publications in Western Australia.

That experience is particularly useful at events, where important moments happen once and there often isn’t an opportunity to ask everyone to do it again.

Fast Event Photography Delivery

Sometimes photographs are most valuable while the event is still happening.

If your communications team needs images for social media, PR or distribution to the media, selected photographs can be edited and delivered during the event or shortly afterwards.

My background in press photography means I’m accustomed to working to tight deadlines, selecting and processing images quickly and delivering photographs while they’re still relevant.

If rapid turnaround is important, let me know when booking so the workflow can be planned around your requirements.

Capturing the People

The people are usually the most important part of an event.

Alongside speakers, presentations and formal moments, I photograph guests interacting, networking, laughing and enjoying themselves. These images help communicate what it actually felt like to be there rather than simply documenting what happened on stage.

Depending on the event, I can combine candid coverage with photographs of guests looking towards the camera.

For conferences, presentations and more formal occasions, I can also work discreetly and concentrate on natural documentary-style coverage.

The Little Details

A lot of work goes into creating an event, and much of it can disappear as soon as the event is over.

I photograph the details that help tell the complete story, including venue styling, signage, table settings, food and beverages, displays, branded materials and other elements that you’ve spent time getting right.

If sponsors or partners are involved, I can also make sure their presence is represented appropriately in the photography.

That might include signage, branded products, activations, displays or guests interacting with a sponsor’s product or service.

These photographs can be particularly useful for sponsor reporting and demonstrating the value of involvement in future events.

Speakers, Presentations & Awards

For conferences, seminars and awards events, coverage can include keynote speakers, panel discussions, presentations, audience reactions, award recipients and photographs of speakers interacting with attendees.

Where appropriate, I’ll also look for clean portraits and moments that can be useful for future promotion rather than simply recording somebody standing behind a lectern.

If you have a detailed running sheet, providing it before the event helps ensure the important people and moments are covered.

Event Photography for PR & Media

Events often create opportunities for publicity beyond the event itself.

Having spent a decade working in press photography, I understand the difference between simply documenting an event and creating photographs that are useful to newspapers, magazines and online media.

If your event has a PR component, I can work with your communications team or PR agency to identify the photographs most likely to be useful for media distribution and provide them within the required timeframe.

Event Photography Across Perth & WA

I photograph events throughout the Perth metropolitan area and can also travel throughout Western Australia for conferences, corporate functions, launches and other events.

Coverage can range from a short appearance or presentation through to half-day, full-day and multi-day events.

For larger events, additional photographers or production support can also be arranged where required.
