Professional Dating Profile Photos in Perth
A lot of dating profiles suffer from the same problems: old photographs, selfies, cropped group shots, badly lit phone photos, or six images that essentially show exactly the same thing.
And then there’s the fish photo.
A good profile gives someone a better idea of who you actually are.
During a Perth dating photography session, we’ll create a mixture of portraits and lifestyle photographs across different settings. Depending on what suits you, that might include urban locations, parks, cafés, coastal locations or somewhere connected to your interests.
Changing locations and outfits gives you a collection of photographs that feels much more varied than a traditional portrait session.
How Does a Dating Photography Shoot Work?
We start with a chat so I can get to know you a little before we start taking photographs.
If you’d prefer to start over a coffee, that’s completely fine. Being relaxed is one of the most important parts of getting photographs that actually look like you.
We’ll then move through several nearby locations, changing backgrounds and outfits where appropriate.
I’ll give you direction throughout the shoot, but I’m not trying to force you into a collection of unnatural poses. Small adjustments to where you’re standing, what you’re doing and where you’re looking can make a substantial difference without making a photograph feel staged.
After the session, I select the strongest photographs and provide you with a gallery of proofs.
You choose your favourites according to the number included in your package, and those photographs are professionally colour corrected and naturally retouched before delivery.

What Photos Should You Have on a Dating Profile?
There isn’t one perfect set of photographs that works for everybody.
Some people look best smiling directly at the camera. Others suit more candid photographs. Some profiles benefit from outdoor and active images, while others might suit urban locations, cafés or a more dressed-up evening look.
What matters is having enough variety to show different sides of yourself.
A session might include:
- A strong, relaxed main profile photograph
- Casual portraits
- Full-length photographs
- Outdoor or lifestyle images
- A smarter or more dressed-up look
- Photographs in different Perth locations
- Images connected to your hobbies or interests
- More candid photographs where you’re not looking directly at the camera
The result should look like a collection of good photographs of you, not six photographs from the same professional portrait session.
Perth Locations for Dating Profile Photography
Perth gives us plenty of options for creating different looks without travelling huge distances during a shoot.
Depending on the style we’re after, we can use urban streets, parks, cafés, the river, coastal locations and other outdoor environments.
I don’t use exactly the same locations and photographs for everybody. Where possible, we’ll choose settings that suit your personality, clothing and the kind of profile you’re trying to create.
