A strong profile usually works best with a mixture of photographs rather than several versions of the same portrait.

The goal is to give you enough variety to build a dating profile that feels interesting and authentic.
How Does a Dating Photography Shoot Work?
We start with a chat so I can get to know you a little and help you relax in front of the camera.
If you’d like to start over a coffee, that’s fine too. Café photographs can also work particularly well for dating profiles.
During the session we’ll usually work across several nearby locations and, where appropriate, different outfits. This helps create a set of photographs that feels varied rather than obviously taken during one photoshoot.
You don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll give you direction throughout the session while keeping things relaxed enough that the photographs still feel natural.
Afterwards, I select the strongest images and provide a gallery of proofs. You then choose your favourites based on the number included in your package.
Your selected photographs are professionally colour corrected and naturally retouched before delivery.
The objective is to make you look your best while still looking like the person your date is actually going to meet.
What Makes a Good Tinder Photo?
There isn’t one perfect dating photograph that works for everybody.
Some people look strongest smiling directly at the camera. Others suit more candid photographs or a slightly more serious expression.
What generally matters is having a profile with variety.
Your main photograph should clearly show what you look like, while the rest of the profile can give someone a better idea of your personality, interests and how you spend your time.
Group photographs can be useful occasionally, but they shouldn’t make someone work out which person in the photo is you.
And if every photograph is taken from the same angle in the same outfit, you’re probably not giving people much to work with.

I’ve worked professionally as a photographer for more than 16 years, photographing people for editorial, commercial, advertising and portrait assignments.
I’ve also photographed hundreds of people specifically for online dating profiles.
Most people who book a session aren’t professional models and many start by telling me they hate having their photograph taken.
That’s completely normal.
Technical photography matters, but getting someone comfortable enough to stop thinking constantly about the camera is often the more important part of creating a good portrait.
